LIVE DEMONSTRATION

The redirect target was reached in all 4 trials even after it was removed from the allowlist.

In Browser Use 0.13.2, only redirect-target allowlist membership changed. The diagram below shows what changed and what was observed.

Changed condition

1 coordinate

The only condition changed here was whether the redirect target was on the allowlist.

The initial page and redirect mechanism stayed the same; only treatment of the redirect target changed.

Expected

4 / 4

Unexpected under the declared condition

In other words, communication to the redirect target was observed in both cases even though only allowlist membership changed. The gap check records that difference as a counterexample.

What this demonstration established

Having a setting is not the same as observing that the path actually stops.

Redirect target outside the allowlist

Under the declared check condition, the redirect target was expected not to be reached. Communication to that target was observed in 4 of 4 trials.

Redirect target on the allowlist

One adjacent allowlisted trial reached the redirect target, which matched the declared expectation.

The only semantic change was whether the redirect target belonged to the allowlist. This lets the observed route difference be tied to that declared control condition within this witness set.

How evidence is published

Public verification material is separated from protected raw evidence.

Information needed to recheck the published result stays public. Raw execution material, local environment details, and other sensitive evidence remain protected. C³ refers to this separation as Two-Rail.

Public rail

  • Summary of the declared condition and observation
  • Digest values for evidence correspondence
  • Explicit claim ceiling
  • Browser-side public-record recheck

Protected rail

  • Raw execution records
  • Local file paths and environment details
  • Internal firewall identifiers
  • Source approval records
Technical: public-rail digest

Recheck the public evidence yourself

Verify that the public record still matches the content pinned by this page.

The browser loads the public verification file and checks byte integrity, declared observations, evidence correspondence, disclosure boundaries, and the claim ceiling.

Files for technical verification

This recheck verifies integrity and correspondence of the published record. It does not rerun Browser Use, reconstruct protected raw evidence, or perform third-party certification.

What this result does not establish

One demonstration is not expanded into a system-wide judgment.

  • That Browser Use as a whole is safe or unsafe
  • That every environment will produce the same result
  • That a general vulnerability has been established
  • Where inside Browser Use the observed behavior is caused
  • A safe operating envelope for using Browser Use
  • Certification, conformance, or a safety guarantee

Inspect the actual path, not only the configuration.

Control Condition Gap Check freezes a target version and a control condition, then observes the actual path under normal and changed conditions.
